“People in America think they are oppressed. They are not oppressed. They don’t know the definition of oppression.” Park Yeon-mi

The very least you and I can do is share this story as many times as we can, with as many people as possible.

Tragedy doesn’t even begin to describe what Park Yeon-mi went through. Love, family, Marx, famine, and freedom are just some of the topics she discusses with Lex Friedman.

So much news, so many stories filling up your time and energy, yet the ones that matter go unnoticed more than they should. She is one of the brave souls who escaped North Korea and lived to share her story.

About Me

Hi there! I’m thrilled to have you join me on my blog. I write fiction, nonfiction, and everything in between.

In my free time, I like to keep busy with a variety of hobbies. I’m an avid reader and writer, I love to knit, crochet, and embroider.

At the end of the day, though, my main priority is spending time with my loved ones. Whether it’s traveling or just spending quality time together, I’m happiest when I’m surrounded by those I care about.
