“I’m Thinking of Ending Things” Review

From the first sentence of the book I was hooked. It started out as a mystery novel and ended with the biggest plot twist I’ve ever read. As a reader one can start to see patterns in books, but I didn’t see this one coming. The narrator of the story seems wary the entire time,… Continue reading

    This is Not a Dream

The first thing I noticed when my eyes sprung open is that I wasn’t home. I woke up on the bottom of a bunk bed without my blanket, pillow, without anything I recognized but the clothes I was wearing. Everywhere around me girls about my age looked around with the same look on their face,… Continue reading

  • Some Philosophy Questions

    Some Philosophy Questions

There are three questions my partner has been asking three philosophical questions recently: What do you want to be written on your gravestone? What separates us from animals? What is the meaning of life? Before I give my answers, take a moment to think about your answers to this.  For the first one, I don’t… Continue reading

“People in America think they are oppressed. They are not oppressed. They don’t know the definition of oppression.” Park Yeon-mi The very least you and I can do is share this story as many times as we can, with as many people as possible. Tragedy doesn’t even begin to describe what Park Yeon-mi went through.… Continue reading

“I’m gonna go now!” I shout over the loud, pounding music.Chelsea stops dancing, grabs me by the hand and leads me to a quiet place in the bar. “Can you stay just a few more minutes, Nick? The night is just getting started! Plus no one here is going to make you drink, this is… Continue reading

    Burnt-Out

My legs feel like Jell-O and the day hasn’t even begun. Need caffeine just to stay awake, but the jitters make me nauseous. And nausea gives me a headache. And the headache makes me dizzy. Dehydration.                      Disorientation.                      … Continue reading

  • To My Love

    To My Love

I cling to our memories with quiet desperation when I think about leaving. My mother once said you can love a man your whole life and still not know everything about him. I’ve known you twenty-three years, and still, I have not seen all of you. You with your colorful seasons and vast mountains. Like… Continue reading

  • Jealousy

    Jealousy

She drinks one, then two, then so many that there are holes in her memory. One minute, she’s looking at him talking and laughing to a beautiful blonde. The next she’s on the balcony getting a call from him.  It’s too loud for either of them to hear each other. She is screaming into the… Continue reading

About Me

Hi there! I’m thrilled to have you join me on my blog. I write fiction, nonfiction, and everything in between.

In my free time, I like to keep busy with a variety of hobbies. I’m an avid reader and writer, I love to knit, crochet, and embroider.

At the end of the day, though, my main priority is spending time with my loved ones. Whether it’s traveling or just spending quality time together, I’m happiest when I’m surrounded by those I care about.
